They are thus a form of geographic divisional structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Global product divisions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organising the design, production and marketing on the basis of global divisions typically maximises cost efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transnational structures are similar to matrices but distinguish themselves by their focus on knowledge-sharing, specialization and network management<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Relates to systems of recruitment, socialisation and reward.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does the organisation have the people to match.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A common constraint on structural change is the availability of the right people to head new departments and divisions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capabilities e.g. how do the organization\u2019s training schemes, information technology and reward systems transform the talents of individuals into capabilities required by the strategy?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Structure The international division is a standalone division in the international market added alongside the structure of the main home-based business.
