The upcoming Tuas Crescent warehouse office will have up to 110 employees. Total number of desktop machines for both sites are 300 and 350 laptops. Most of the business applications are in the cloud environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s IT manager knew you had done a few networking projects during your Polytechnics Internships Programme and would like you to propose a networking design based on the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The HQ office is a building with up to 7th floors. Here are the details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ground level is the reception with up to 10 meeting rooms \u2013 4 employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2nd level is the Warehouse Department \u2013 190 employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3rd level is IT Department \u2013 40 employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4th level is Operation Support Department \u2013 64 employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5th level is Sales and Marketing Department \u2013 126 employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6th level is Management and Human Resource Department \u2013 20 employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7th level is the cafeteria, mini-greenery corner with gym facilities \u2013 8 employees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The warehouse office at Tuas Crescent comprises of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Warehouse Department \u2013 24 employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operation Support Department \u2013 66 employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IT Department \u2013 16 employees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please do take note there is a WAN between HQ office and the Warehouse office, as employees in warehouse office will need to access servers located at HQ office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Basic Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Design VLSM using the private address range for all sites within the company (headquarter and warehouse). Headquarter network should use IP address from 192.168.0.0\/16 range and Warehouse network should use IP address from 192.190.0.0\/16 range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. VLANs must be created with appropriate names and VLAN numbers. Inter-VLAN routing should be implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. IP address for Endpoints shall be configured through DHCP or manual way, endpoints in all networks shall be able to reach each other. Official (Open)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Headquarter office and warehouse office will be connected through WAN links. Either static or dynamic routing shall be configured to ensure connectivity between two sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.
