Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

1. Identify and critique the moralistic and body-denying strands of Christian theology and biblical interpretations.

2. Identify and challenge theological and scriptural legitimations of patriarchy, homophobia, sexual repression, and abuse, and promote open and safe discussions on sexuality in the church.

3. Demonstrate scholarly ability to engage in deeper theological reflections on human sexuality.
