The objective of this assessment task is to evaluate your ability to develop a rehabilitation intervention plan for an older person based on a comprehensive case study. Students are expected to identify the needs of the individual, critically analyse the relevant factors, and design a suitable rehabilitation intervention to address one (1) specific need.

The case study should be focused on promoting the older adult’s functional independence, quality of life, and overall well-being.

You are required to select one (1) of the following case studies: Mr. John Anderson is a 75-year-old retired teacher who recently experienced a stroke. He lives at home with his wife, Janine. Prior to the stroke, Mr. Anderson enjoyed an active lifestyle, including regular walks in the park, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. The stroke has resulted in left-sided weakness (hemiparesis) and difficulties with coordination and balance. He also experiences fatigue and has become increasingly dependent on his wife, Janine, for daily activitiesGoals: Mr. Anderson’s goals are to regain his independence, improve his mobility, and participate in leisure activities.
