Biopsychosocial Case-Study
Analysis:
Use conceptual frameworks from a Human Behavior in their Social Environment. (biological, psychological, and social development during infancy and childhood, systems, and culture/diversity) in an analysis of a case study.
Consider information that is typically part of an assessment process and devise engagement and intervention strategies appropriate to the case.
Consider applicable knowledge, conceptual frameworks, and theories in the analysis of this individual in the context of their social environment.
Paper should be: 10 pages, APA 7 Style with proper in text citation and correct refference list.
1. Review the attached case study and discuss:
• key biological, psychological, and social factors that may be operating in the case;
• developmental stages as they apply to the child;
• systems that the child interfaces with, how well the child functions in the context of these systems, and how these systems affect the child;
• diversity issues that may be impacting the child (culture, race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class, religion, etc.)
• strengths that the child
possesses and resources available to the child in their social environment.
2. Discuss and show how the stages, strength, issues, and factors identified above interact and what impact they have on the child’s functioning/life. Describe the problems and challenges that the child needs help to address.
3. Consider the bio-psycho-social status of the child and the child’s family, pertinent theories and potential diversity issues and describe how to approach engaging the child and the child’s family.
4. Conduct literature search on the problem areas identified. Select 5
Of research-based (peer-reviewed) articles from the past 5 years that address the area identified.
Summarize and critique these articles and how it pertains to the individual in the case study.
5. Drawing on the selected articles and the theories delineate a well detailed intervention plan that would be appropriate to address the child’s issues with consideration of their strengths (not weaknesses) and diversity issues.
