Begin with a question that you hope to answer.

So, rather than saying, “I want to research the spread of COVID-19 in elementary schools.

” Try, “I want to answer the question, ‘How does COVID-19 spread in elementary schools?’”

Be sure to include why this topic is of interest, hypothesize the answer–though you can change your mind, sometimes that’s a very important part of the research process, and any other supporting information.
