Assignment 1: Participation Requirement

As a demonstration of your interaction with the concepts found in the required readings of this course, you will create an abstract for each required text. Before writing the abstracts, please see the instructions on completing this assignment corresponding to the delivery system in which you are registered for taking this course.

Abstract Content

1. Begin each abstract with the bibliographic citation for the text. Please consult the current edition of Kate L. Turabian’s A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations for the citation information needed. The citation serves as the abstract title.

2. Beneath the citation write a one-page double-spaced abstract in normal font that describes in the following order:

• Key concepts in the book;
• Strengths and weaknesses of the text; and
• Issues or concerns raised for you in relationship to life, work, or ministry.

Assignment 2: Precise Assignment

A Precis assignment is just a summary of the contents in the book. Do a Precis for the text in italics above. Do not engage or criticize the content, just provide a summary of the main contents of each chapter in your own words. Use Chapter and Section numbers as subject headers for your paper(s). Compile all precis papers into one file.

Assignment 3: Main Paper

Write a paper discussing one of the following topics.

1. The strengths and weaknesses of each Apologetic Method.

2. The role of Apologetics in evangelistic efforts.

3. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the arguments.
