  2. Recognize ways to meet the health expectations of the community through primary health care provisions across the lifespan including screening and early intervention.
  3. Outline how quality and safety is maintained within Primary Health Care using an evidence-informed framework and robust governance structures and regulations.

Assessment requirements

Relevance: Primary healthcare forms the foundation of nursing practice, as it focuses on delivering comprehensive, accessible, and community-centered care. Nursing students need to understand the principles and concepts of primary healthcare and health promotion to provide holistic care and address the healthcare needs of individuals, families, and communities.

This assessment provides an opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in this unit to demonstrate an understanding of primary healthcare and health promotion in relation to relevant national quality and safety in healthcare frameworks.
