Assignment Task

Living in new narratives requires us to practice the Way of Jesus together. Choose an action-based group practice from Mark Scandrette’s book Practicing the Way of Jesus and write a report addressing the following questions:

1. How would this group practice need to be modified to address your particular community context?

2. How could this group practice enable your community to practice the Way of Jesus together?

Academic Requirements for this Assignment: A report is a formal document (requiring use of 3rd person language) and it is helpful to use headings. It has the following general elements:

• Introduction: Introduce the topic and its background and significance, identifies the specific problem within that topic area that you are investigating, preview the sections of the report, and define any important terms used.
• Body: Treatment of the problem is divided up into different aspects (e.g. definition of the problem, analysis of its features, stages, and/or causes, and proposals for different ways of approaching or managing it
• Conclusion: Summarises the report’s main points. There is no new information here since each idea or piece of information should already have been introduced in the body of the report.
• Recommendations: Present specific suggestions for action that arise from the analysis and findings of the report.
