You have a choice of 3 topics for this essay:

1. Alcoholics Anonymous

2. Motivational Interviewing

3. Opioid Agonist Therapy

First, write a brief introduction saying what you will cover in your essay.

Next, look at the origins of the therapy. How was it developed? Who developed it? Why was it developed? Was it modified or changed at any time?

Now describe the main features of the therapy i.e. What happens? What is involved in the therapy? What do patients and clients need to do? 

Finally, critically evaluate the evidence base and efficacy of the therapy. Does it work? How do we know it works? Do patients and clients accept it? What are the benefits? What are the weaknesses or disadvantages? 

Lastly, write a brief conclusion where you summarise your key points.

You will need to do a search to find high-quality contemporary articles to support what you say and enhance your discussion.
