Scheme 1

Rutting data from a TRACS investigation of 4.3km section of existing trunk road is provided in Appendix A.

Using the TRACS data supplied, interpretation is required on the general condition of the scheme. Also, recommendations are requested on whether further detailed (‘scheme level`) investigations are required on any sections of the scheme, and if so what type of detailed investigations should be conducted (and what information these investigations would provide).

Scheme 2 (existing trunk road)

A detailed pavement investigation has been conducted on a 1km length of trunk road. Data from the investigation is summarised in Appendix B. The investigation included use of a falling weight deflectometer (FWD), core sampling of the pavement and DCP investigations of the foundation layers.
