Client Care and Effective Communication Assignment

You are required to write an assignment about effective communication when providing care to clients. The assignment must answer the following points:

• Identify the relevant groups of people in need of healthcare. Choose one group and explain how you, as a Health Care Assistant (HCA) would assist them in meeting their needs (physical, emotional, social, psychological and spitirual needs).
• Discuss the range of interpersonal skills a HCA should demonstrate when providing care to clients.
• List and explain the steps you would take to report a change in your client’s condition to the relevant person.
• Identify and explain the methods of communication which could be used to assist a client who has a hearing or visual impairment.
• Explain how a HCA would encourage clients to participate in events outside their home, to benefit their social life and their health.
