ACTIVITY

1. The Roles of Stakeholders in Curriculum Implementation

Let us do some activities to further understand the ideas which were presented ahead. Do the following activities with your group mates.

Activity 1- The Curriculum Stakeholders: Do Their Roles Differ?

1. Each group will be composed of at least ten (10) members.
2. With your group members, for a role playing presentation of at least three stakeholders of the curriculum as main characters and the rest of your group to take a particular role.
3. Assign specific roles for each group member. Plan for appropriate dialogue and conversations to clearly show the role of each one.
4. Provide a costume for each role player during presentation.
5. Present your role play to the whole class in ten minutes.

Guide questions for the role play:

What significant roles do the stakeholders play?

• The significant roles that the stakeholders play are being a learner, a teacher, a school principal, a parent, community members, and other stakeholders.

What dialogue illustrates these roles?

• Roles:
• Learner- “I understand what our teacher has discussed.”
• Teacher- “Here is our topic for today.”
• School Principal- “Make a daily lesson log to be passed every weekend.”
• Parent- “My child and my money go to this school.”
• Community Members- “We serve as a resource of the school.”
• Other Stakeholders- “We give ideas for the planning and implementation of the curriculum.”

What actions of the key players show these?

• Through the use of gestures and how they speak based on their roles.

• The other members of my group support these roles by how they speak and act with their given roles.
