Part A
involves the critique of existing literature sources in an area of the student’s choosing (research topic or industry focus of choice), culminating in the identification of a pertinent research topic to pursue, which can then make a valuable contribution to both academia and practice.

The core aims of this part of the assignment are to teach students: – to engage in critical review and evaluation of literature, – to identify relevant and suitable research topics, – to employ the language of research, and – to formulate a research problem, question and objectives for a chosen topic, that has implications for academia and practice.
