Leaders in Psychology Eleanor Emmons Maccoby Presentation
The purpose of this assignment is to educate the class regarding significant contributions made to the field of psychology by women and minority members.
These individuals do not require a degree in psychology.
Students will prepare a narrated Power Point presentation on their chosen individual.
Selections are first come, first served; duplicates are not permitted.
The presentation will last approximately 10 minutes and address each of the elements below; if additional slides are needed feel free to add them.
Direct quotes from sources are not permitted and will result in a score of 0.
Three sources are required; Wikipedia or other encyclopedia-type sites may be used but will not count toward the 3.
Slide 1: Name of person, birth/death year (unless still living!), picture
Slide 2: Family background, noteworthy childhood experiences
Slide 3: College/university training, including degrees earned and mentors
Slide 4: Professional positions held and any other professional accomplishments
Slide 5: Area(s) of psychology expertise, contributions to the field of psychology
Slide 6: Challenges/adversity that the individual overcame
Slide 7: How the individuals work has impacted or made an impression on you
