Marketing and Mike’s Bikes
The paper must follow the rubric. I can send you screenshots of my Mike’s Bikes simulation rounds and give you any information needed. Must have 7 references. I would like the paper to be about Marketing and the mistakes I made, addressing the mistakes I made financially.
This is an 8-10 page research paper. The topic is defined broadly so that you have a lot of freedom in how you write about it. It must contain at least 8 different research source citations to support your writing.
The paper should:
Look back at your experience running your Mikes Bikes company and analyze the company, its performance, success (or lack thereof), and team dynamics. Specifically how you do that is up to you.
Some thought starter / possible paper topics could include the following (your paper should be focused on one chosen topic not all possible topics!):
1. Your MB company performance related to its financial issues, and the importance of those issues in your MB company as well as in the real world. Did the actual MB company outcome validate or contradict the standard financial principles and theories in the research?
2. Your functional role in the team (VP Marketing; VP Finance; etc) and the successes & failures you had in that role as well as how they impacted your MB company performance. How does the research suggest that the issues you point out should work in the real world. Did the actual MB company outcomes validate or contradict the theories in the research?
3. Your MB company teamwork or leadership & how it impacted your MB company’s ultimate outcome. From research, what theories and principles of teamwork or leadership did you see play out in a good or bad way? Did the actual MB company outcomes validate or contradict the theories in the research?
4. If you have a specialized major or minor such as Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, etc,; What does the research in your field suggest is important for success? Assess how those things you identified actually impacted your MB company. Did the actual MB company outcomes validate or contradict the theories in the research?
5. Assess your MB company work processes, assess the research related to your identified work processes, and assess how those work processes impacted your MB company performance. Did the actual MB company performance validate or contradict the theories in the research?
6. Find a topic or issue that interests you relative to your MB company this semester and research the topic or issue in the research literature. Did the actual MB company performance & outcomes validate or contradict the theories you found in the research?
7. Be creative and link research topics of your choice to your MB company. Analyze and discuss. Draw conclusions.
