To Explore the Correlation Between Perceived ward Occupancy Pressure and Rate of Admission
Objectives/Aims:
The research will shed light on the complications associated with the availability of admission beds for acute psychiatric admissions against the perceived requirement of bed occupancies for community treatment.
Therefore, the aim of the present research will be to explore the existing correlation between perceived word occupancy pressure and psychiatric admission rates.
In that context, the following research objectives can help to meet the research aim.
- To identify the patterns of psychiatric presentations in the emergency department (ED) from 1st January 2023 to 31st July 2023.
- To measure the rate of psychiatric admissions and perceived ward occupancy pressure
- To assess the association, correlation, and inter-dependencies between the perceived pressure of bed occupancy for community treatment and psychiatric admission rates
