1. Introduction (~50-100 words): Introduce your case, provide a clear road map for your paper (what will you cover), and be sure to emphasis your thesis (main takeaway from the report).
2. Background of the Organization (~300-400 words): Provide a brief background on the organization.
This section is to be complimented by an in-depth SWOT analysis that may be attached as an appendix (does not count in the word limit).
3. Problem Identification (~50 words): Outline the problem faced within the organization, providing a clear and concise problem statement. Be sure to identify the individual or group that is dealing with the management challenge.
4. OB Theory Analysis (~300-400words): What Organizational Behavior (OB) theories are most relevant to your case?
Describe at least two (2) OB theories in depth and discuss the application of these theories to the challenges faced by your organization.
5. Alternatives (~300-400 words): As the consulting firm assisting the organization, you are required to develop three (3) alternatives to potentially fix the identified management problem within the organization
. Each alternative should focus on a specific OB theory that needs to be reinforced or implemented to assist with fixing the issue.
With a brief explanation of the application of theory, each alternative should be explained in a practical manner for the organization, clearly demonstrating what actions need to be taken.
Academic articles should be used throughout each alternative to support your alternatives.
6. Future Recommendations and Implementation (250-300 words): Choose one (1) of the three alternatives to implement.
Explain why your group is choosing this specific alternative, outlining the positives and negatives that led you to your decision.
Once the group has identified the recommended alternative to implement, the team should provide a clear action plan for implementation.
The action plan should include a timeline, list of resources (if applicable), and step by step instructions how the organization should proceed.
Lastly, the group should develop a measure of effectiveness for the organization.
This way, once the action plan has been fully implemented, the organization has a way to reflect on if the alternative is successfully improving the functionality of the team, or if additional adjustments need to be made.
Academic articles should be used to support your recommendations and implementation plan.
