Observation/Checklist Assignment:

A major part of putting the pieces of Health and Safety together is  being in the classroom and seeing first-hand what is being done to  protect children. 

This assignment will require you to put your  professional hat on, visit a classroom and observe how this site is  providing safety in the indoor and outdoor areas.

Teachers’ Safety Checklist:

Please take the provided Checklist to a center and conduct the safety  observation and indicate if the child care setting “passed” or “failed”  each question on the list. Please include  at least 10 typed comments (total) to indicate why you gave it a “pass”  or “fail”. Finally, write up your evaluation of the center with  specific details explaining your evaluation (3-5 sentences).
