Assessment Task

The assessment task is aimed at students identifying the key factors of good project management and critically evaluating and applying methods (and techniques) aimed at increasing successful implementation. Therefore, as members of the University Student Body Entertainment committee, you have been assigned the task of organising a Christmas Concert for all students and staff, to celebrate the end of the year. The main motive behind this concert is to promote diversity and inclusion across the University of Northampton (UoN). The concert should involve showcasing all cultures that are represented at UoN. The concert will take place on Saturday 19th December 2020.

Your project team has received a project mandate from the Students Union Body for the concert with a budget of 50,000 (20% required rate of return) to plan the 8-hour concert. As part of your preliminary scope requirements for the concert, you have identified some key deliverables and technical requirements expected for the project. See below:

Local Advertising.

Concert Security.

Separate Beer Garden.

Eight-hours of music and entertainment.

Food Venues.

Souvenir Concert t-shirts.

Secure all necessary licenses and approval.
