The Article Discussion Assignment is a great opportunity for students to dive deeper into any topic regarding cannabis and cannabis cultivation that really suits their personal interest.

 In this intro-level course, we scrape the surface of many ideas regarding cannabis cultivation, and talk more in-depth about the seed to harvest life cycle of Cannabis sativa L.Use the link provided in Blackboard for the Journal of Cannabis Research, under Course Content, to try some key words and find a peer-reviewed, scientist-backed article discussing your topic of choice.Some key words/phrases/ideas to consider typing into search:Cannabis sativa LCannabinoidsTerpenesEntourage EffectCancer/depression/anxiety/PTSD/other condition and CannabisMedical CannabisIndustrial HempTissue CultureCannabis BreedingSeed to Harvest Cannabis CutivationPost-harvest ProcessingCannabis IPMCannabis Environmentalsetc.DIRECTIONS:1. Find an article that suits your interests regarding Cannabis Cultivation2. Read article thouroughly and get a good understanding of the reason behind why it was written3. Write a 1 1/2 – 2 page paper summarizing the article and its findings, why you chose it, what you learned or took away from the article, and your final thoughts and conclusions on the material/article itself4. 

Include a Works Cited page which will contain the URL link to the article you chose6. Be prepared to share a quick blurb of information with the class on the article you read and summarized in your paper. 

You do not need to read your entire paper to the class. 

Come to class on prepared with a few short notes summarizing what you read about and what you/the class can take from this information regarding Cannabis Cultivation.

 You may be asked questions regarding your topic from myself or from other students in class.

 Everyone will be required to take this step as it will be included in the final grading of the project.
