Your company has assigned you to plan the development of a production system to manufacture your proposed product at scale.

This will involve the allocation of company resources to research and development, development of any new machinery and tools, setup of manufacturing and production lines, allocation of human resources, engineers and other experts, installation of the manufacturing system at an appropriate industrial facility, along with appropriate warehousing for materials, intermediate product and final product.

You should also consider a pilot production run of your product of X units, to be produced in the first month of operation.

X may be 1,000, 10,000 or 100,000 units, depending on your specific product. You may select the size of the pilot production run as appropriate to test the manufacturing system.

If your product is not measured in units, specify a relevant quantity to be produced in the first month.

Consider the materials and resources required for the pilot production run and include these in budget and resource lists.

In the project budget, ensure there is clear delineation between the build of the production system and the pilot production run.
